![]() ![]() NOPE! The only monster with a real special ability is Exodia, and he just instantly wins the game if all five pieces of him are in your hand. I told you this game was a mess, right? Now somewhere out there is a Yugioh fan thinking, "Well don't any of the monsters have special abilities?" Now after hearing all the rules and such, you're probably thinking, "This looks boring! Isn't it just a matter of who floods the board with the strongest monsters?" Regardless, I'm able to easily smash him with the fusions available. Maybe we'll find out by actually playing it. Honestly, I'm not sure why Forbidden Memories has a fanbase at all, there are even mods for this thing. (Why on earth is there a speedrun of this?) Admittedly, the game did end up in a sort of Hydlide-like situation (okay for its time but the delay in its export caused it to be released when far superior products were already out) but some of the design choices here are just awful. The difficulty curve is insanely steep, the only way to stand a chance is to grind, and there's probably more grinding in this game than the GBA's Reshef of Destruction, although that game hasn't gotten a speedrun yet. The early YGO games that came out were more or less Konami experimenting with what kind of ruleset they wanted their card game to have. This little gem was made in December of 1999, and released in the west two years later. I figure that with the Yugioh LPs in the forums I should put one in myself, so here you go. ![]() I hate making fun of Konami, but they make it so EASY. ![]()
